The verified picture
A policy target, procurement announcement, route proposal, inauguration and regularly bookable passenger service are different stages. Each deserves its own label.
The Railway Ministry's January 2026 overview discussed long-term fleet ambitions alongside operational trains. Future fleet goals do not establish an opening date for an individual route.
A route graphic may display endpoints but omit the real train number, operating days, intermediate calls or changes after launch. Those omissions matter when someone tries to book.
A useful verification checklist
- Look for a recent official service notice and train number.
- Check official booking for the intended day rather than relying on an old launch article.
- Keep planned corridors out of an operational route filter until verified.
