The ministry reported one operating Vande Bharat Sleeper pair as of 25 March 2026. That is a dated operational statement, not evidence that every announced overnight corridor is running.
A January 2026 PIB announcement described the first sleeper service as connecting the Kolkata and Guwahati regions. A launch statement and a current booking result answer different questions.
A proposed sleeper route should be labelled planned until official operational and booking information establishes that passengers can travel on it.
